The leadership component of this subject is designed to provide you with training in the basic principles of leadership. It will help you acquire the skills required for effective leadership and appreciation for your personal leadership ability. You will develop an understanding of a leader's role as an agent of change in the world today.
Teamwork specifies the outcomes required for frontline managers to promote teamwork. It involves developing team plans to meet expected outcomes, leading the work team and proactively working with the management of the organisation.
This subject will enhance your communication skills to include the necessary elements in the art of preaching. It will develop your ability to move from idea to delivery, and communicate in a relevant yet structured manner. You will be equipped with an understanding of how people listen and learn and how to effectively teach in a range of leadership roles.
Ensure Team Effectiveness specifies the outcomes required by frontline managers to facilitate all aspects of team work within the organisation. It involves taking a leadership role in the development of team plans, leading and facilitating team work and actively engaging with the management of the organisation. Change and Innovation specifies the outcomes required to plan and manage the introduction and facilitation of change. Particular emphasis is on the development of creative and flexible approaches, and on managing emerging opportunities and challenges. Managing Conflict covers managing conflict that may arise within an organisation.
